Sony Xperia Z2 D6503 appear next to its Z1 brother

The air is all full of Sony these days. Can you feel it? No sooner did the Sony Xperia Z1S finally get unveiled along with the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact at CES, than out pops the Sony D6503, which some are calling a refresh to the Xperia Z1. Others believe that this model is the Sony Xperia Z2, the new flagship handset for the Japanese manufacturer.

the "older" Xperia Z1 does have a speaker up front , but its not hidden unlike the rumored Z2 model

The situation is in flux, but right this second we expect the D6503 to feature a 5.2 inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. A quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM8974AB processor is under the hood, supporting 4k video playback. There is 3GB of RAM inside with 16GB of native storage on board. Android 4.4.2 is pre-installed out of the box.
